This property displays architectural elements dating from the late 18th to the mid-19th century. The exact construction date of this property is unknown; however, the block where it is located was already urbanized by the early 1800s. It is estimated that parts of this property were already built by the mid-1800s, but that there were possibly extensions in the late 1800s. The "Cantera" stone used for some architectural elements is older than the house itself, therefore, they were most likely introduced after the Reform War (1858-1861), during the consolidation of this property as we know it.
The quarry used to build some of the most notable elements of this property (Cantera Dorada) was obtained from a quarry bank that had fallen into disuse since the late 19th century.
Other significant features of this property include a convent-style or contemplative window, which were built to maximize the use of natural light to support manual labor activities, decades before the proliferation of electricity as we know it today.
These elements endow this property with immense cultural and historical value, which is reflected in its classification as a Historic Monument by Law.
